The first impulse of digitisation often is filling the largest possible data pots with content and then analyzing those by means of detailed views and summaries with prefabricated reports. The relationships and structure of data sets are not further analysed and the potential of the information cannot be fully exploited. FlaVR makes it possible to capture the big picture by
- simultaneously visualizing more data points and making them accessible to the user,
- recognizing the global structure of the data and drawing conclusions that remain hidden in detailed views,
- naturally exploring the resulting information landscape through the use of room-scale virtual reality and
- comprehensively uncovering patterns and anomalies.
